Most people live on music and will go far and near to get to a concert – last weekend, about 1,500 people danced from dusk to dawn to the beats of DJs Thomas Gold, Goldfish and other well known talent
Ras Al Khaimah residents and visitors enjoyed the emirate’s first ever 12-hour music event. More than 1,500 people, including festival-goers from Dubai and Abu Dhabi, flocked to Al Marjan Island beach from 5pm onwards to dance till dawn, just meters away from the immaculate shores of Al Marjan Island.
World-famous international DJs were the highlight at the event, including Thomas Gold, a Berlin-based DJ and producer who has released a string of hit singles playing in clubs and at festivals around the world, and Goldfish – an electronic music DJ duo from Cape Town, South Africa, that creates dance music with live sax, flute, double bass and keyboards.
British producer, DJ and studio engineer Scott Forshaw, signed by Dutch label Armada, played his signature dance tracks and Lebanese DJ YVEL K played a set of house tunes to the audience.
The crowd enjoyed non-stop tunes, the beach for a dance floor and plenty of food and beverage options. The festival offered something for everyone, with a lively party atmosphere for revelers as the DJs spun tunes on the decks, to chill-out areas perfect for those who came down for the day to relax on the pristine beach.
The event was sponsored by the upscale Al Marjan Island development, the five star resorts of Rixos Bab Al Bahr and DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island, Bin Majid Beach Hotel, Air Arabia, Radio 1, RAK Insurance, and Al Hamra Mall.
